Step into the intimate theatre at Castlereagh Boutique Hotel for The Good Soldier Švejk, a witty and thought-provoking modern stage adaptation by Carol Dance, Artistic Director of Scene Theatre Sydney.
Cheerful, unshakeable, unpredictable and seemingly simple, Josef Švejk is one of Europe’s most beloved comic characters. As he moves through a world of military orders, officialdom and absurd authority, Švejk survives (and quietly subverts) a world gone mad around him.
Part comedy, part satire and full of theatrical bite, this 90-minute performance brings a classic of European literature to life in the heart of Sydney CBD.
