2024 Annual Report & Financial Statements

2024 Annual Report

Dear Fellow Members, As we come up to another AGM I am very pleased to let all our Members, facility uses and visitors know that we have had quite a successful year as a Club and Hotel. I will let our General Manager speak further on these details and the financial statement attached in this Annual Report. Despite past construction noise and current cycleway construction noise, we will be soon passed all these and embrace having a very modern and high speed Metro Station right next door to us. That means that our patrons will have easy access to our premises and with time this connection should link up to the future airport at Badgerys Creek.

Your Board has been especially busy this past few months receiving updates and costs on a number of capital works projects including the Fire Services Order imposed by the City of Sydney Council, much-needed lift upgrades and a number of mechanical upgrades to keep the building running. A suite of Consultants have completed their reports which have been uploaded to the City of Sydney Council portal and construction Certificates issued. This has been an extensive and time-consuming process which will need additional borrowed funds to implement. More on these projects as they develop.

Welcome to our new-look Club Chat for 2024. A lot has been happening in the past few months and Members are in for a treat when next visiting the Club! The most notable changes are the Level 9 refurbishment and fresh layout for the ground floor Reagh Bar and reception area. We are also very pleased to announce that the Reagh Bar is now open for dinner on Tuesday to Friday from 5pm to 8.30pm, offering an exciting new tapas menu, cocktails and Little Creatures Pipsqueak Cider which is now on tap. During January our team engaged in a strategic planning session to shape the future of our Food and Beverage offerings within the Club. With many changes now in place we’re excitedly planning a revamp of the the level 2 lounge, including a brand new name - watch this space!

President's Report

Dear Fellow Members, I can advise that we embarked on an almost unprecedented capital works program, not seen since the 1960’s, or even the original construction of our building. I can tell you that almost every part of our building and services are undergoing new facilities and upgrades including the environmentally responsible reduction of our carbon footprint. As we speak, we have commenced on the whole Level 9 refurbishment of the existing rooms in a historical manner while we await the main reconstruction of our hotel rooms commencing around mid next year, 2024.
